Town Closures and Limitations

March 11, 2020 – Camp Verde Town services moves to Phase II amid Covid19, Coronavirus Pandemic

The Town of Camp Verde will move to Phase II in providing services effective Monday March 15, 2021.

Our municipal departments will continue to accommodate the needs of our community through virtual means and monitor in-person access.

PHONE ACCESS:The Town Hall phones will continue to be answered between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday’s. At other hours, you can leave a voice message and your call will be returned, the next business day. We encourage any member of the public that needs services, to consider making an appointment by email or call before they come in to ensure we can adequately address their need.

EMERGENCY SERVICES will continue to function as usual and EMERGENCIES SHOULD ALWAYS BE CALLED INTO 9-1-1.

TOWN STAFF: Town Manager Russ Martin and Clerk Cindy Pemberton will function during normal business hours and remain available for consultation by phone, email or by appointment during this time. MARSHAL’S OFFICE: Our front lobby is open to individuals two at a time for regular business. We are currently still not doing finger prints at the moment. Any individuals who come to our office needing to meet with a deputy will be met in the lobby by the assigned Deputy. Patrol is now doing proactive enforcement, masks are being worn on a individual case basis based upon the circumstance. Our employees who are experiencing any symptoms have been asked to not come to work, if individuals are at work and not feeling well they are asked to have their temp checked before they leave for home. Public records request will be completed through email at  or by fax at 928-567-8302. Dump the Drugs program is being deferred to the Northern Arizona Health Care (Camp Verde Campus) drop box. For 30 day impound hearing information and or request, please call 928-554-8300.  Animal Control services will be on a case by case basis depending on severity.

COURTS:  Begin scheduling more in person hearings while keeping telephonic/video hearings when necessary and or available.  Keep distancing mandates in the Courtroom while health screening protocols continue at check-in.Continue mask wearing while in the Courtroom.  Open lobby while limiting number of people to no more than 2 while in the lobby with clear signage and direction. Business as usual for payments; in person payments during regular business hours. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Office opens Mon-Thu 8:00am to 3:00pm, Fri 7:00am to 11:00am. Appointments only Mon-Thu 7:00am-8:00am and after 3:00pm. No more than two customers allowed in the lobby at one time. The building inspector continues conducting remote inspections. All staff will wear face masks when in contact with customers, and masks continue to be required by customers. Continue to encourage online submittals and remote/virtual meetings. We are asking for 48 hours’ notice for inspections; we will respond primarily to voice messages and emails to make arrangements. Please call the office first for instructions on submitting documents; in-person visits will be only as needed, and as brief as possible.  For questions regarding BUILDING PERMITS OR INSPECTIONS, call Community Development during normal business hours at 928-554-0050. Inspections will be done remotely, as appropriate; on-site will be limited based on type of inspection.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Allow walk-in services with restricted entry and recommended safety and social distancing guidelines in place. Continue offering one-on-one meetings by appointment, following recommended safety and social distancing guidelines. HUMAN RESOURCES: Will be available during normal business hours via email, phone, or by appointment. LIBRARY: Library opens Mon-Sat 9:00am to 5:00pm; staff returns, volunteers may

return if desired. Practice physical distancing: Limit the number of people in each area of the library. With Plexiglas shields in place, all PCs available for use in the PC area

Patrons limit in-library time to 2 hours or less per day. No public access to staff offices and work spaces. Meeting Rooms available to the public for limited use: Library and community programming resume in groups appropriate to maintain physical distancing per room size Quiet/Study Rooms limited use to 2 hours/day, reservations available as outlined on the Library website.  PUBLIC WORKS: Streets services will be delayed. Work order requests can be called in or emailed to 928-554-0823 or Engineering, Admin, Stormwater and the Maintenance Department will be available during normal business hours via email, phone, or by appointment. Please contact or 928-554-0823.

WASTEWATER/SEWER PAYMENTS: Plant function will continue as usual. Utility Payments should be conducted by check. Please mail payment or drop it off in the drop box located at 473 S. Main Street. Contact Tracey Feltes 928-554-0872 or for sewer payment questions.

PARKS AND RECREATION: Follow National & State Guidelines for Phase 2 distancing & Social Settings. Public doors will be unlocked allowing public office access following applicable social distancing and PPE with public encouraged to contact by phone or email when possible. Continue some teleworking, with at least one P&R staff physically in the office daily. Use PPE when unable to maintain proper distancing. Properly clean surfaces in the office, on equipment & in Town Vehicles when used. Allow indoor facility rental for groups under 50 that can ensure social distancing and work to implement EO requirements for over 50. Continue to plan and operate Special Events with modifications based on applicable restrictions and requirements. Continue to work with partner organizations to resume operations such as Little league according to State guidelines. Work towards restarting programming such as Heritage Pool, Summer Camp, Friday Trips, Pickleball, and others as allowed and modified by *National, State and County directives and advice including guidelines. COUNCIL AND BOARD MEETINGS will continue as scheduled but will limit the number of in-person attendance to the capacity of 15. We will permanently offer live streaming options through Zoom to facilitate public access without the need to be physically present.

ACTIVITIES: Various P&R activities will be resuming and/or increasing allowed participant numbers as guidance allows. This includes several exercise classes with Partner instructors, summer activities such as the Heritage Pool and Summer Day Camp, Pickle Ball and increased Facility rental opportunities. In addition, planning for the Pecan & Wine Festival April 17 & 18 continues.
