Description

Founded in 2009 by Carrie Singer, Animal Guardian Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal sanctuary that provides skilled life-long care for over 100 senior, special needs and hospice animals.

Horses, burros, goats, sheep, steers, pigs, turkeys, and dogs have been given a new life and permanent refuge and care at their 22-acre sanctuary in Camp Verde, AZ known as Healing River Ranch. Widespread space filled with meticulously placed shelters, habitats and fencing make up this one-of-a-kind sanctuary nestled along the Verde River to the West & Coconino National Forest to the North.

This is not your average sanctuary. This is an extraordinary animal care facility that extends lifesaving care. Operating much like an assisted living community, they refer to the animals in their care as “residents” with the goal of providing gold standard medical care, diverse nutrition, meaningful socialization, and ample opportunities to participate in joyful, enriching activities adapted to their unique and special needs.

Healing River Ranch is a safe place where suffering is replaced with dignity allowing animals the ability to live peacefully and age gracefully.
