Montezuma Castle National Monument Visitor Center & Museum Grand Reopening – Cultural Demonstration
The Montezuma Castle National Monument Visitor Center & Museum Grand Reopening celebration continues June 21-22 with demonstrations from Renee Edwards Archambeau (Hopi). Renee is a Hopi Potter of over 25 years. She specializes in utilitarian pieces for kitchenware and ceremonial purposes, using red pottery and black design. Some items will be available to visitors, so be sure to visit between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. when she will be demonstrating! Event will be free with paid park entrance.
There are demonstrations each weekend in June to commemorate the grand reopening of the visitor center. Please remember to be safe and carry/drink plenty of water while enjoying the events. The summer heat is here and it’s important to plan like a ranger!
