Rhino Run 5K Fun Run

Lace up your shoes and hit the pavement for a 5K fun run like no other by joining us at Out of Africa for our inaugural Rhino Run! On September 20, 2025, we will host this special event in the park to celebrate International Rhino Day.

This event supports vital conservation efforts aimed at combating poaching, improving care for injured rhinos, and addressing forest loss and habitat conversion. With the threat of extinction looming, it is crucial that we do everything we can to make a positive impact.

Join us at the park to show your support! The run will commence at the Marketplace, winding through the park a total of two times to complete the 5K. (See the map for details.) As you make your way around, be sure to greet all the animals—especially Jericho, our beloved southern white rhino!

Tickets will go on sale on May 9, 2025, and end on June 20, 2025. You may purchase them in our gift shop or call 928-567-2840 ext. 2000 to purchase over the phone. The run will start promptly at 7:30 AM, so please arrive at the park by 7:00 AM to check in. The registration fee is $60.00, which includes support for rhino conservation, admission to the park, and a Rhino Run shirt.
